These
non-Assamese people, however, hardly experience any clash with the
Assamese people at personal level. The survey shows that about 98
per cent of the Marwaris, 93 per cent of the Biharis and 89 per
cent of the Bengalis did not experience any clash at personal level.
Interestingly enough not a single Marwari know of any clash of their
community with the local Assamese people. Contrary to that 95.2
per cent of the Biharis and 86 per cent of the Bengalis reported
that there was clash between their communities with the local Assamese
people.
