Folk and Ethnic Traditions of Assam:

It is a spectacle of color. Of varied hues. While there is pristine solemnity of the living tradition of the Sattra inspired way of life, you find the vivacious jest for life of many ethnic groups .Add to that many communities, both religious and linguistic, which have eked out a place for themselves over the ages in this veritable melting pot called Assam, we, in this domain, are trying our humble way,to project all these despite many limitations. ”Mosaic” will reflect, albeit in a phased manner, various facets of the

rich heritage culture of the ethnic groups of Assam. In this journey of discovery and celebration of life, we may falter, make mistakes. But we assure our esteemed browsers that we will not be insincere. We seek your indulgence and your constructive criticism and inputs.
Like all dynamic social groups, a distinct restlessness is discernable among the most ethnic groups of Assam. Among many justified grievances, the perception of being looked down upon by the mainstream society. perhaps needs the most serious attention. The foundation considers each of these groups to be as great as any other social group in Assam. Any reflection of omission or mistake is our fault—Never reflective of their lacunae.
